Blog Post #1- Who is Jesus?
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is someone who we can look at and try and model our life to be like his. He is our savior and messiah sent down by God to save us from our original sin. He was born of the virgi Mary and died and resurrected back into heaven. I went to a catholic grammar school from kindergarten all the way to eighth grade and still continue to learn about my faith here at NDB. I would go to church with my class once a week and I got expand my catholic knowledge there as well. Through the Priests homilies is where I feel I really learned about my catholic faith.
What I Learned This Unit in Living the Gospel
I came into class with a lot of knowledge already but I learned a better under standing about how the holy trinity is one in unity. You can't have one without the other and all three, Jesus, God, and The Holy Spirit work together to help people all over the world. They are there to help and guide us through any difficulties or good times. God came first then the Holy Spirit and then Jesus. They work as a unit. You can't have one without the other.

How do I see Jesus
When I think of Jesus I always think of him in a spiritual way. He is half man and half God, and came down from heaven to save us from original sin. I believe this because this is what I have been taught to believe. I feel that I have a deeper connection with him through prayer. I see him also as a teacher who taught us how to better follow the Lord God. He is our savior and sacrificed himself for us.
How Would I describe My Relationship With Jesus?
It is hard for me personally to describe the relationship I have with Jesus only because I feel I have a deeper connection that we both understand when I'm praying to him. I look to him when I need guidance or when I feel helpless. I do find myself praying to God more often but I always know when is the perfect time to pray to Jesus. He is like my friend. But he is also viewed by me as a teacher who teaches the gospels. I have a good relationship with him I hope.
